Adam started working in the ministry field when he was 15 years old and learned from his Grand-dad Billy Powers about being a southern preacher. He was raised in humble beginnings in the little town of Latta, South Carolina, where his mom and dad raised him with his sister. While his ancestral roots are both American Indian of the Croatan people, and Scotch-Irish, he was raised in the Indian way by his Grandfathers.
His maternal grandfather was a Holiness Pentecostal preacher, and this is where Adam got many of his stricter notions of living, and calling for people to live a life of repentance and conformity to the Gospel. His grandfather Cue taught him about the land, and our deep connection to it. Heading off to college at the University of North Georgia in 2007, he arrived at age 17 and started off as an Assistant Chaplain for 2nd Battalion, Echo Company, ROTC.
In 2011, Adam was received into the Catholic Church and in 2014 he graduated from the University of North Georgia with his Bachelors of Arts in International Relations in the Middle East. He was married to the love of his life and his best friend, Chloe, in 2016 and finished his Masters of Arts in Catechetics and Evangelization in 2018. Currently, Adam works actively to promote the Catholic theological tradition in the Catholic Church and the World. Between his time in the protestant church and his time in the Catholic Church, Adam has spent over 12 years in youth ministry. He has also been involved in building race relations between whites and blacks in the US South and answering the call of Laudato Si’ in respect to his strong environmental catechesis. He is also member of the Lay Dominican Order.
Adam started his website adamcookministries.com as a means to call people to action and to aid him as he serves areas that suffer economically, and spiritually, from a lack of financial resources, or spiritual aid. He invites all to join him in his mission to help the poor and the destitute, to lift up the broken of our society and help them live a life that is in conformance to the gospels.
